Professor Dr. Nasir Uddin

Professor Dr. Nasir Uddin is a distinguished Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive experience in clinical practice, teaching, and leadership.

He earned his BDS from Dhaka Dental College and completed advanced surgical training at Osaka University, Japan, under a scholarship from the Japan Dental Association. He later obtained his MS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Dhaka. He specializes in oral and facial cancer surgery, cleft lip and palate repair, facial trauma, facial deformity correction and complex maxillofacial surgeries. He is a pioneer of mandibular lengthening surgery in Bangladesh and received advanced training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University of Toronto. Professor Dr. Nasir served as Professor and Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College till January 2024. Currently, he is Professor & Head at Sapporo Dental College & Hospital. He is the recipient of the prestigious MODUS Award (2004) and holds leadership roles including Vice President of the Bangladesh Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
